Pennsauken, NJ – Orban, the leader in world-class audio processing, has introduced Optimod-FM 8700i designed for both analog and digital radio broadcasting. New features in Optimod-FM 8700i include Dante AoIP with full AES67 capability, a specially-processed ultra low-latency headphone output, and Orban’s patented Xponential Loudness™ algorithm. “Our new Optimod-FM 8700i will give your station an air sound that will set you above everyone else in the market,” said David Day, Orban’s President. “With Xponential Loudness and other Orban innovations, this processor maintains your signature sound regardless of the source or music track.” This newest Orban air processor includes Orban’s proprietary MX distortion-canceling peak limiter; digital MPX; subharmonic synthesis and phase skew correction; a full suite of controls for stereo enhancement, multipath reduction, HF enhancement, EQ, AGC, multiband compression, stereo encoding, low-IM peak limiting and composite limiting; full function RDS/RBDS with PS scrolling; ratings processor loop-through, and automated dayparting with an NTP-referenced real-time clock. Orban Releases NeuStar Air2 Codec Pre-Conditioner

Orban Expands SBE Teleconference Schedule

Nautel User Group at NAB Moves to the Paris Las Vegas Conference Center

The Nautel User Group meeting at NAB will be moving to Paris Las Vegas Conference Center and promises to be the largest ever Nautel Users Group (NUG) event with close to 400 attendees expected. The NUG will be held on Sunday, April 23 from 9 AM – noon in the Vendome A ballroom at the Paris. Construction at the Flamingo hotel, where the meeting was originally scheduled to be held, prompted the move to the new location.
