Vitec to Showcase Video Wall Options at InfoComm 2018 - GovernmentVideo.com
EZ TV platform handles 4K video

Vitec will come to InfoComm 2018 to show off the video wall capability inherent in its EZ TV digital signage platform. At the show, which will be held in Las Vegas from June 6–9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Vitec will demo how the video wall solution is designed to simplify deployment and management of projects involving IPTV, digital signage and video wall content.

The hardware-based solution features low-latency native playback of IPTV streams up to 4K, and supports interactive content, video and imagery transformations. More than 50 displays on up to four unique walls can be managed from a single processor, including nonstandard layouts and resolutions of TVs and LED walls. The platform supports both H.264 and H.265 (HEVC) formats in resolutions all the way up to 4K, together with AES encryption for secure content delivery.

“Our video wall capability for the EZ TV Platform offers IPTV and signage services that make it the system of choice for many organizations that are building new facilities or upgrading existing venues,” said Mark D’Addio, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Vitec.

With the expansion of the HEVC ecosystem, Vitec provides encoding and decoding solutions that fit a wide range of applications and requirements, he said. The goal is to empower customers with a streaming system that can leverage the bandwidth savings of advanced HEVC compression, he said.

The company will also have on hand the new MGW Diamond Encoder and Vitec Playout Server — both part of the company’s HEVC video distribution solutions — as well as its point-to-point/point-to-multipoint HEVC streaming solution and its multisite streaming solution for houses of worship, which has been integrated with Renewed Vision’s ProVideoServer video playout and ingest server.
