Research center focused on augmented and virtual reality -

SEATTLE—University of Washington is cutting the ribbon on its UW Reality Lab, a research center—funded $6 million by Facebook, Google and Huawei—will look to accelerate innovation in augmented and virtual reality and educate students. The Lab will work to develop technology to power next generation applications that will speak to a wider population. The new center is located in the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering.
