Time to Bring Clarity, (High) Definition to Access Channels

Local cable access channels need to keep up with the times

FOXBORO, MASS.—As the TV landscape changes rapidly with things like Netflix, DirecTV and streaming on mobile devices, it seems that local cable access channels are lagging behind. That is the point of Robert Hickey, a member of the Foxboro Cable Access board of directors, in an article on the Foxboro Reporter website. He argues that cable providers should be promoting its cable access channels as a resource for viewers that providers like Amazon and Netflix won’t cover, but to be worth it they have to update to high-definition.
