MuxLab Flexes its IP-over-AV Muscles with Media Streaming Player - GovernmentVideo.com
Digital signage with 4K power

LAS VEGAS — It’ll be walls, walls everywhere at InfoComm 2018 when the likes of companies like MuxLab come to Las Vegas to showcase how complex signage projects — such as video walls streaming 4K@60Hz content from the web — can be installed, accessed and controlled with relative ease.

The company will show off the new HDMI 2.0 Digital Signage Media Player (shown), known as model 500769, which accepts streaming content via the H.264/H.265 codec from a local Ethernet, internet, internal memory and external USB 3.0 devices.

Video is upscaled to 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) and delivered to HDMI over IP H.264/H.265 PoE extender to create a 2 x 2 video wall with multiview capability and IP-based camera support.

The media player operates in a low bandwidth, expandable manner, the company said, and boasts an intuitive web interface. In addition to its ability to schedule automated tasks, the player can be managed remotely via MuxLab’s CMS, the new MuxLabControl app and a third-party CMS. Users can setup and control the system from a PC, tablet or phone. Users can select sources and assign content to specific zones using color-coded icons that represent equipment. Birds-eye layouts simplify the task of identifying equipment within a zone and repetitive tasks can be preconfigured and activated.
