Yorktel, a producer of managed services for video, has made available to government agencies at all levels its VideoKiosk, an easy-to-use solution that provides users with a convenient and secure means to interact with service agents.
Yorktel’s VideoKiosk can serve as an effective and immediate remedy to long lines by enabling clients to interact with remote agents, according to Greg Douglas, Yorktel’s vice president of business development, public sector.
The VideoKiosk can be placed at public locations as a convenient option for customers to engage in live meetings with agents operating out of contact centers or other sites, according to Yorktel. Powered by Yorktel’s VideoCloud infrastructure, the VideoKiosk can be deployed quickly, is user-friendly and delivers high-definition video to enhance user interaction, the company said. Features of the VideoKiosk are:
- Dual 22-inch touch displays in a secure enclosure.
- Cloud system infrastructure.
- Telephone handset for customers and USB headset for agent.
- HD camera on agent and user kiosks to exchange video of the participants.
- Security protocols to ensure the integrity of all communications.
- Document scanner.
- Monochrome printer.
There are also optional components such as a fingerprint scanner and credit card processing system, Yorktel said.
Through the power of visual communications, Yorktel VideoKiosk not only ensures that customers receive an expedient and high-quality service experience, but also reduces the cost of having agents onsite, Douglas said.
