Wowza Media Systems has partnered with HyosungITX—a Korean firm that delivers content over the Internet—for the distribution of video, Wowza says in a written statement.
Customer satisfaction among HyosungITX’s clients in the Internet gaming, education, retail, entertainment, public interest and finance sectors have placed HyosungITX among Korea’s leading content delivery networks (CDNs), says Wowza, which is headquartered in Evergreen, Colo. In addition, Wowza has named HyosungITX as one of its “Streaming Partners.”
“Relying on Wowza Media Server 2, we can cost effectively distribute video to the widest possible range of user devices,” said Chan Young Kim, CDN business division managing director of HyosungITX. “The Wowza solution has enabled us to provide not only broad reach, but also service stability, even in a high-load environment,” he said, “Wowza-powered capabilities have done a lot to help fuel our growth.”
Award-winning Wowza Media Server 2 is a high-performance video engine that unifies delivery of live and on-demand H.264 video or AAC/MP3 audio streams to multiple clients and devices, extending content's reach to any platform and any screen, the company says.
