FITIS

One of the systems Vitec will have on display is its Fully Integrated Tactical IPTV System (FITIS). This integrated full motion video (FMV) system is used for capturing, processing, archiving, indexing, managing and disseminating tactical ISR video and metadata. FITIS can distribute IP video across LANs and WANs, enable real-time playback of tactical and situational awareness imagery, provide continuous recording and indexing of metadata, and retrieve video assets and analysts’ notes. It can also support range of formats and bandwidth constraints, including hi-def ISR footage and ultra-compress streams.

The PX Media Library for the tagging, editing, managing, organizing and sharing of media files also has a spot at Vitec’s booth. The open system is adaptable and features an intuitive user interface along with customizable workflows.

In addition, Vitec will show its MGW Ace encoder and decoder, a portable, hardware-based end-to-end 4:2:2 HEVC encode/decode system. The MGW Ace encoder features a HEVC (H.265) bandwidth-efficient compression and legacy H.264 encoding capabilities. When paired with the MGW Ace decoder, the system can deliver streaming over most networks, including the internet with embedded Pro-MPEG FEX of Zixi error-correction capabilities. This will reportedly allow organizations to stream 1080p video with up to 50 percent bandwidth savings from the H.264 standard.

Enforce Tac 2017 will take place from March 1-2 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center in Nuremberg, Germany. Vitec will be located in Hall 10 at booth 413.
