SARASOTA, FLA.—Vislink is reporting that is has received orders for more than $600,000 worth of HD airborne video downlink systems for law enforcement agencies in California and Florida.
With the HD airborne video downlink systems, the law enforcement agencies will be able to receive live pictures and video streams from helicopters and other aircrafts to command and control assets from the ground. Among the equipment purchased are an integrated suite of downlink transmitters, antennas, diversity receivers, handheld receivers and media servers. Configuration, testing and other support services were also included in the orders.
The components are designed to capture and share real-time, hi-def video for display at Emergency Operation Centers, mobile command units, as well as directly to smartphones via cellular and Wi-Fi networks.
