Video, audio and multimedia processing company TV One has released its new four-input high definition (HD)- serial digital interface card in conjunction with a firmware upgrade for the C3-340, CORIO matrix.
The C3-340, CORIO matrix is a matrix router that uses modular hardware with 16 audiovisual module slots for input/output modules, as well as scaling output cards and soft signal switching.
In addition to having a CORIO2 scaling engine for individual up/down scaling, aspect ratio and frame rate conversion of each output, the matrix offers digital video interface-U I/O modules, which give users a variety of connections, TV one says. DVI-U modules within the CORIO matrix allow for the ability to use any signal from Composite Video, Y/C and YUV, RGBHV and DVI-D plus high definition multimedia interface signals, an adaptor enables users to choose, the company says.
The Input HD-SDI card enables users to feed in four separate standard definition (SD) or HD-SDI signals into the CORIO matrix, which can double the number of available inputs.
In addition, TV One has also released a new firmware upgrade for the CORIO matrix, which transforms the CORIO matrix’s capabilities to that of an AV routing scaling matrix, TV One says. Firmware upgrade 1.44 has a feature set which enables the user to route embedded HDMI and SDI signals independently from the video signals, and users can take the HDMI audio from input one and combine it with the red green blue video signal from input two and output it as HD-SDI video signal in output one.
The audio functionality—with audio follows video and breakaway mode—enhances the performance of the matrix to embedded audio signals, external analog or digital audio signals can be used through the optional audio board and either embed/de-embed audio signals or create a separate 8x8 audio matrix within the CORIO matrix.
