IOWA CITY, IOWA—For more than 30 years the University of Iowa relied on the same audio system at its Carver-Hawkeye Arena for all its basketball, wrestling and volleyball matches. Recently though, the school decided to change things up and installed the DiGiCo S21 digital console, as well as DiGiCo’s Purple Box MADI/Optical converter and a D-Rack.

The S21 provides 40 Flexi input channels, 10x8 full processing matrix, 16 assignable graphic equalizers and Dante connectivity. In addition, the Purple Box fiber interfaces with the S21 and D-Rack.

The DiGiCo equipment was installed by the University of Iowa’s technology representative, Sound Concepts.
