Telestream Acquires Captioning Company CPC

Deal brings captioning tech to Telestream products

NEVADA CITY, CALIF. —Telestream has acquired U.S. captioning software company CPC, adding the company’s products to Telestream’s offerings.

“Our customers at all levels need tools to author and distribute captioning in a more integrated way,” said Dan Castles, CEO at Telestream. “This is a natural extension of what we do, and we look forward to integrating CPC’s world-class technology into all of our products.”

The acquisition adds MacCaption for the Mac and CaptionMaker for Windows to Telestream’s products, and CPC’s team grows Telestream’s group of experts. Telestream also will use its broad sales distribution and support to enable CPC products to scale more rapidly within current and new markets.

CPC was formerly based in Rockville, Md., the company relocated this week to Telestream’s east coast office in Sterling, Va.
