Synology America Corp., a producer of network attached storage (NAS) servers for the home and small to medium sized business markets, has launched low-cost surveillance bundles as a turnkey network video recorders (NVR) solution, the company says in a written statement.

Each bundle packages will be priced at about $100 per channel and contain a DiskStation and a preset number of camera licenses, and the packages are planned to be available in a variety of physical configurations, and support from four to 20 internet protocol (IP) camera streams, the company says. The surveillance bundles’ channels will be pre-installed and can contain Synology’s DiskStation Manager 3.0 and Surveillance Station 5 to provide turn-key surveillance solutions for resellers and end users alike.

The bundles represent a significant value to anyone setting up an IP surveillance network, said Doug Self, a product marketing manager at Synology America Corp. The bundle “radically simplifies the process,” he said. The pre-installed NVR bundles are available to installers and resellers through Ingram Micro and ASI in the following configurations, 4-channel NVR with 1TB storage; 4-channel NVR with 1TB RAID1 storage; 8-channel NVR with 1TB RAID1 storage; 12-channel NVR with 2TB RAID1 storage; and 20-channel NVR with 4TB RAID5 storage.
