Square Box System's CatDV12 Media Asset Management System

LAS VEGAS–Square Box Systems has announced that it will be a featured partner at the JB&A IP and Video Distribution Workflows Event, which takes place June 7 at the SLS Hotel and Casino, prior to the InfoComm16 exhibitor floor opening on June 8 in the Las Vegas Convention Center. The JB&A event will feature training seminars and lectures, along with an array of new media asset management products–with Square Box System products among them.

Attendees will get the chance to see a new version of Square Box’s CatDV 12 media asset management system, now featuring updated broadcast and camera formats, logging and ingest capabilities and support for the vendor’s recently released Server 7. Worker 7, the latest version of the company's workflow automation solution for CatDV MAM deployments, now supports Linux and will also be displayed.

Square Box will demonstrate two updated products. The first demo will show the enhanced security, asset usage analytics, reporting, and audit capabilities now available in the latest version of its CatDV Pegasus server. The second demo will be on the company’s new CatDV Archive to Cloud, where attendees will see how the system archives media assets and associated metadata to Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3). Another CatDV server to be present, the Enterprise Server 7, now has web-based administration and a REST administration API.
