MIAMI—The Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department is strapping on VR headgear to train its students on how to deal with patients in emergency. Working with Virtual Education Systems, the virtual reality system contains 48 different cases both in the hospital and pre-hospital. “It makes you feel like you’re there even if you don’t have a patient in front of you,” Alan Jimenez, who trained using the VR system, told NBC Miami.
