Samsung Unveils Video Surveillance System for Small Offices

Samsung Techwin America, a supplier of video surveillance products, unveiled a new line of consumer security products for homes or small offices, the company says in a written statement.

Available in 4-, 8-, or 16-Channels, Samsung’s systems include a digital video recorder with storage capacities ranging from 500 GB to 1 TB. The new Samsung DIY Security Systems offers several features, including:

OmniView Technology: Samsung’s proprietary software enabling small and medium business owners to manage an infinite number of systems at multiple geographic locations simultaneously from a single user interface.

QuickConnect: Automatically configures the system with a wireless network to enable remote viewing via PC or Smartphone from anywhere in the world.

Mobile and TV Apps: Allows users to watch video from their security systems on the go via their mobile phone or from home on the television.

The Samsung DIY Security Systems boast powerful functionality yet they are easy to use and simple to navigate. The line includes both box and dome high-resolution cameras with night vision capability up to 40 feet, an IP66 weatherproof design and options for wireless or audio capabilities.

“Our new Samsung DIY Security Systems provide the advanced technology and sleek design that Samsung is known for and offers homeowners and SMBs an all-in-one solution to protect their most valuable assets,” said Mike Palazzolo, vice president of sales and marketing, consumer products at Samsung Techwin America. The security products will be available in March 2011 at a starting price of $499.
