PSA Security Network, the giant electronic security cooperative with members responsible for over $2 billion worth of installations annually, is teaming with video surveillance giant Samsung Techwin America, providing a seamless link between the manufacturer and PSA’s network of more than 285 systems integrators.

“This strategic partnership will define a new, collaborative way for Samsung to interface with key industry executives,” said Samsung Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Frank DeFina. “Working with PSA Security Network will enable us to raise awareness for our core services and technologies to a multitude of new consumers – another key aspect of Samsung’s Vision 2010.”

PSA Security Network, based in Westminster, Colo., includes members who specialize in the design, installation, integration and maintenance of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and fire and life safety systems.

Samsung’s new video surveillance solutions include a new series of 1.3 megapixel IP cameras with newly developed WiseNet Digital Signal Processing, a new series of H.264 DVRs in models offering four to 16 channels, a new series of high performance analog cameras with the company’s newly developed W5 chipset, and a new series of UTP cameras and accessories to further capitalize on the inherent economy afforded by structured cable infrastructure.

Additional systems that have recently been introduced to the marketplace include: Samsung’s i-Polis access control systems that integrate with the company’s recording solutions; intrusion detection and alarm systems that integrate seamlessly with the company’s video surveillance and access control solutions; and a military grade robotics system to get close to the action without putting personnel in harm’s way.
