4K capability is now available on Rose Electronics’ Orion X-Series and XC-Series multi-user KVM switches.

The Orion X-Series is a KVM matrix switch for either CATx or fiber, available in four sizes of 48 to 288 ports. Its modular chassis accepts eight-port I/O cards. The system extends computers and KVM switches to 450 feet on CATx cable and 33,000 feet on fiber. Meanwhile the Orion XC-Series is a more compact CATx DVI and KVM matrix switch available in six sizes of eight to 80 ports. DVI video resolution on both models is up to 1920 x 1200.

Separately the company recently expanded the choices in its DVI Matrix Switch; previously available in three models, one chassis can now be configured in a range from 2 x 2 to 32 x 32.

And Rose is highlighting an expansion of products in its lineup of CrystalLink and CrystalView fiber extenders, including a new DVI single-link miniature model with resolution up to 1920 x 1200.

Rose Electronics recently noted its 30th year in business. General Partner David Rahvar is shown at Government Video Expo.
