Armed Forces members worldwide can now get backstage with top performers in a series of exclusive visits designed specifically for service personnel, thanks to a Pentagon Channel podcast.

“Command Performance” is a downloadable peek at the entertainment world that enables military members to pose questions in the celebrity interviews. The podcasts are available through iTunes and the Pentagon Channel Website.

In early spring, Armed Forces members will have the opportunity to submit questions for an additional slate of interviews. Upcoming episodes feature artists including members of 3 Doors Down, smooth jazz trumpeter Chris Botti and indie rocker Cat Power.

Other episodes will address topics including one artist’s personal stryggle with post-traumatic stress disorder, how members of The Killers stay close to their families while on tour, and where Larry the Cable Guy gets his material.

“A big part of what makes ‘Command Performance’ so special is the fact that artists seem just as interested in learning about the military as we are in getting to know them,” said Sgt. Ted Macdonald, the show’s anchor.

All the podcasts are available at the Pentagon Channel Website.
