Orad solutions leverage never.no Interactivity, engages audience

Broadcast and graphics solutions provider Orad is partnering with never.no, a social media integration company, to integrate broadcast television with social networks.
never.no has created a framework to integrate Orad’s graphics with social media networks and apps, allowing broadcasters to engage audiences through interactive and viewer data mining opportunities.
“Broadcasters turn to Orad to deliver data in a more visual and impactful way,” says Avi Sharir, Orad’s CEO. “Our partnership with never.no allows us to take content manipulation and distribution one step further and harness user-generated content within the broadcast itself,” he said, adding, “With interactive options such as polls, votes, questions, and games, broadcasters can now use Orad to deliver thoughts and opinions along with the program, deeply engaging viewers and creating new experiences.”
never.no integrates participatory and interactive elements within the Orad workflow, says Lars Lauritzsen, never.no’s CEO. Broadcasters can connect to Twitter and Facebook, build companion apps and harvest user-generated content, using graphical outplays generated by Orad.
“Television and the viewing behaviors that follow it are changing in vast ways. We are beginning to see new forms of interactivity emerge when viewers are brought into the storytelling process via social media and new forms of digital participation,” Lauritzsen says.
The integration is available for the portfolio of Orad’s graphics solutions, including Maestro, on-air graphics, ProSet, virtual studio, RealSet, augmented reality, and Interact, interactive graphics, according to the companies.
