OLEAN, N.Y.—Olean High School is embracing video as a new tool to teach its students about the printed word. Thanks in part to grant-funded iPads, students are creating video adaptations of famous literary work or poetry in an effort to provide more engagement. “So much of their literacy is digital,” said Sally Ventura, chair of the OHS English Department. “Why fight it?”
