NewBay Media, a publisher of magazines that are focused on professional broadcasting, and Future Media Concepts (FMC), a digital media training organization, joined to produce a training opportunity for professionals in the television, video, motion graphics and new media industries at Digital Video Expo, Sept. 19-21 in Pasadena, Calif.
The diverse range of sessions over three days covers every aspect of the content creation process, and conference attendees can choose from tracks on Apple, Adobe or Avid software, as well as digital video production techniques for videographers who do everything from shoot to finish.
Each track opens with an in-depth training session on the nonlinear editing system of the attendees’ choice, taking the editing knowledge that most attendees already possess and adapting it for a whole new tool. From there, sessions branch out to offer an array of different topics and disciplines.
FMC’s team of certified instructors, power users and editors and designers will teach the sessions. “Digital Video Expo attracts producers, directors, shooters, editors, engineers, and almost anyone else involved in production and post—the very same people who can utilize our top-of-the-line training—so this conference is a natural fit for us,” said Ben Kozuch, FMC Conferences’ president. “We are honored to expand our relationship with NewBay Media to offer instruction on both the East and West coasts. These workshops will be a great way for attendees to learn from the experts while still having time to enjoy the expo floor.”
“We are so pleased to extend our current partnership with Future Media Concepts to produce the LA Post | Production Conference at Digital Video Expo,” said Carmel King, EVP at NewBay Media, publisher of Digital Video Magazine and producer of Digital Video Expo. “The organization's proven expertise in producing top-quality educational programs will surely be one of the highlights of this year's show.”
