New SmartLab and Broadcast Studio Unveiled at Flushing School

Broadcast studio to help deliver daily announcements to classrooms

NEW YORK—P.S. 201: The Discovery School in Flushing, N.Y., has cut the ribbon on a new STEAM SmartLab and broadcast studio. The school, which covers pre-k through fifth grade, will have its students use the broadcast studio to deliver messages and daily announcements directly to classrooms. The SmartLab provides students access to 3D printers, software engineering and robotics technology.

HD Broadcast Studios Coming to San Diego High Schools

The resulting broadcast studios will provide a real-world application for core academic areas—such as language arts, sciences, and math—and technical knowledge and project management skills related to current and next-generation broadcasting.
