‘New Generation’ of Industrial Surveillance Camera Unveiled by EDC

Ethernet Direct Corporation (EDC), a provider of industrial networking and communication solutions, unveils the EDS-741WH, which it says is “a new generation of outdoor fixed camera for industrial surveillance applications.”

Suited for industrial surveillance applications, the model EDS-741WH features built-in 1/3" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor and supports up to “super extended graphics array” (SXGA; 1280x1024) resolution with selectable H.264, “moving picture experts group” (MPEG)-4 and “motion joint photographic experts group” (MJPEG) codec and two-way audio, says EDC—of Taipei, Taiwan—in a written statement.

The EDS-741WH system also supports built-in motion detection technology to enhance the security of a facility and it is internet protocol (IP)-66 rated vandal proof and weather proof housing dome camera, so it can be installed most outdoor environments as needed.
