NDDOT Uses VR to Teach Seat Belt Safety
BISMARCK, N.D.—As cars hit the road this summer, the North Dakota Department of Transportation is hoping a new virtual reality video can help teach people the importance of wearing their seat belts. The 360-degree video shows what it is like to not wear a seat belt during a car crash.
“The over-arching goal of using this video is to again emphasize the importance of wearing your seat belt,” said Ashlee Doan, NDDOT safety public information specialist told KFYR-TV. “It’s the one thing you can control and it’s your best defensive in a motor vehicle crash.”
