Thinklogical has announced that Norwegian and NATO defense and intelligence information technology expert Dag Wilhelmsen will be an adviser to the company. In this new role, Wilhelmsen will advise and guide the company’s business development initiatives targeting ministries of defense and intelligence operations within NATO and its member nations.
“The ability to accurately analyze video-rich content for situational awareness and rapid decisionmaking in defense and intelligence operations is a true force multiplier,” Wilhelmsen said. “Organizations within NATO that are tasked with implementing flexible, high-availability command centers and watch floors while still meeting demanding Information Assurance security requirements, will benefit greatly from Thinklogical solutions.”
Wilhelmsen has had a 40-year career in the field of defense electronics, IT, information assurance and communications in business and government, including holding the position of general manager of the NATO C3 Agency, with responsibility for all of the alliance’s common funded consultation, command and control initiatives. He was most recently director of infrastructure services at the NATO Communications and Information Agency, retiring in 2014.
