Companies that provide video security solutions have partnered to expand intelligent IP video surveillance control and management options for one of the firm’s access control systems, the companies say in a written statement.
Matrix Systems, a Miamisburg, Ohio-based turnkey access control and security solutions provider, and On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc. (OnSSI), of Pearl River, N.Y., have joined to increase control and management options for Matrix’s “Frontier Universe” workstation.
Ocularis, OnSSI’s flagship physical security information management system, enables access control system administrators to view, pan/tilt control, manage and record security video for an unlimited number of IP and non-IP video surveillance cameras from a Frontier Universe workstation, the companies say. The system's compatibility with more than 500 popular analog and digital camera brands makes it ideal for retrofit and new video installations.
Ocularis is a unified comprehensive platform that enables management of short and long-term video storage, and the correlation and fusion of video and non-video events and alerts, OnSSI says. The system also offers a variety of recording capabilities for all sizes of businesses, buildings and access control systems.
Matrix Systems no longer needs to integrate every customer’s existing and new video equipment into Frontier Universe, says Jim Russell, Matrix Systems’ vice president-sales. “Our software engineers can now spend more time developing in-house products such as this year’s Frontier Web-Essentials and Frontier Universe innovations,” he said.
In addition, “the successful integration of the Frontier Universe solution further extends the range of applications for the Ocularis IP video management platform and delivers a higher level solution benefitting end-users and security integrators," said Mulli Diamant, OnSSI’s vice president-sales.
