NANJING, CHINA—A new addition to Magewell’s USB Capture family of products has been introduced, the USB Capture Plus series. The new dongles for the video interface devices feature expanded audio support, enhanced user control and signal loop-through on select models. Magewell has developed three models of the USB Capture Plus.
USB Capture HDMI Plus
The USB Capture Plus enables computers, including laptops, to capture professional video and audio signals through a standard USB 3.0 interface. All three models feature a driver-free design and automatic input detection for plug-and-play operation, support for Windows, Mac and Linux, and compatibility with streaming, encoding, live production, collaboration, video conferencing and lecture capture software.
The USB Capture HDMI Plus model captures video up to 1920x1080 or 2048x1080 at 60 frames per second over and HDMI interface. The USB Capture SDI Plus model captures video up to 1080p60 with embedded audio via 3 Gbps SDI. The third model is the USB Capture DVI Plus, which captures video up to 1200p60 through its DVI interface, with down conversion from inputs up to 2048x2160.
All three models features Magewell’s zero-CPU-usage video processing for deinterlacing, up/down conversion and image controls. Additional features of the new models include the USB Capture Plus Utility software for advanced control of processing settings and access to detailed status information; faster detection time; FPGA-based audio processing with ARSC technology for USB audio handling; and expanded visual indiciations of device and input signal status.
