IPVideo Corporation, a provider of video management and physical security information management solutions, unveiled “Legacy Bridge,” a digital bridge that enables the integration of analog cameras into a network-based video management system (VMS).

Legacy Bridge is now bundled for no additional charge with IPVideo Corporation’s “Sentry” VMS, enabling organizations to implement a powerful IP video surveillance solution while protecting their existing analog camera investment, the company says.

“The transition to network video from analog is cost prohibitive for many organizations, and there are still millions of active analog cameras worldwide,” said David Antar, IPVideo Corporation’s president. Legacy Bridge provides an affordable way for organizations to reap the benefits of IP video including scalability, remote access and camera intelligence, he said, adding, there are no per channel charges for the upgrade. In addition, the solution is scalable for up to hundreds of cameras, he said.
