PRINCETON, N.J.—A recent study into a M3004 security camera from Axis Communications by Senrio has revealed a software vulnerability in the IP cameras. The vulnerability is a buffer overflow that Senrio dubbed “Devil’s Ivy” that could be exploited to remotely hijack a video feed or shut down an IP camera. Senrio reports that the vulnerability could be present in other software products or connected devices.
