High school and college sports-broadcasting programs within the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia are eligible to win a 2010 HD mobile production vehicle from NewTek, a producer of broadcast products.
The vehicle has been outfitted with a TriCaster 455 multi-camera live production system and control surface, a 3Play 425 instant replay system, swing-out monitors, said NewTek, which has used the vehicle to broadcast high-profile sporting events including the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and the All American Games.
The deadline for entries is Sept. 30. From the entries, 10 schools will be chosen as finalists and they will be asked to submit a video entry, NewTek said. The grand prize winning school will be named Dec. 16 at the Sports Video Group, League Technology Summit in New York, according to the company. The remaining finalists will be awarded a TriCaster 40, New Tek said.
