WASHINGTON – The doors are open at the 2015 GV Expo Show, which is being be held Dec. 1-3 in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
Kicking off the event on Tuesday Dec. 1 is the DC Post|Production Conference, a three-day training event designed for professionals in TV, video, film, motion graphics and new media looking to maximize their creativity and improve their technical skills. The conference runs three full days in three parallel tracks, and sessions are targeted to intermediate and advanced professionals. Highlights include “Video Gear Innovations” and “Getting More Done with Cinema 4D.” Those details can be found here.
On Wednesday, Dec. 2, the DC Post|Production Conference continues with sessions like “MakingYour Message Click and Stick” and a tutorial on drone basics at the session “How to Get the Best Show from a Quadcopter or Drone.”
Wednesday is also the official opening of the Exhibit Hall, which opens at 10 a.m. on both Wednesday Dec. 2 and Thursday Dec. 3, and will be highlighted by the simultaneous kickoff of the 2015 National Drone Show, which includes a series of drone demos in a drone flying cage. The National Drone Show will also feature sessions on technology and regulatory issues as well as a series of paid training sessions for UAV users in partnership with Stampede. Sessions include “Command and Control for Drones,” “Drones for Law Enforcement/Security/Public Safety” and perhaps most importantly, “Keeping Track of Your Drone.” Details on those sessions can be found here.
An after-hours event on Dec. 2, hosted by the Television, Internet and Video Association of DC, will also focus on UAV/UAS production. Stampede is the event’s charter Gold Sponsor.
Wednesday also marks the start of the Federal Government Distance Learning Association (FGDLA) event, a two-day conference sponsored by the FGDLA that will include training sessions, a virtual tour of the U.S. Air Force Air Technology Network, and a look at the biggest trends in technology, mobility, security and connectivity in the government marketplace. Hang out until the exhibit floor closes, as there are prizes to be had during the GV Expo 2015 Raffle. This year’s raffle includes an HD POV camera, encoding software, lavalier microphone, editing software, switcher and more.
