WelcomeHomeBlog.com is a site celebrating the amazing feeling of service members returning home safely to overjoyed family. Video of fathers, mothers, sons and daughters returning home from the wars in Afghanistan or Iraq is what WelcomeHomeBlog.com is all about, and the videos are full of overwhelming emotion, tears, hugs and love.

Launched in June 2010, the WelcomeHomeBlog.com is the first website of the FeelGoodBlogs network. The website was developed because “there wasn’t a centralized location on the web to view videos of this sort,” the blog says. It encourages viewers to submit a video of a reunion, or just to “visit daily for heartwarming stories, videos and pictures of members of our courageous armed forces returning home to their families and friends.”

For creating a website that revels in the sheer joy of family reunions, WelcomeHomeBlog.com is Government Video’s Website of the Week.
