Just in time for the holidays, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has added a section to its website informing the public about the need for air travelers to either pass through a scanner or undergo a pat down by personnel.

The section is called “Helpful Hints for Holiday Travelers” and features a video by TSA Administrator John Pistole who explains the need for air travelers to pass through advanced imaging scanners or for intensive pat downs, reminding travelers those procedures are for their safety.

The section is further broken down into 11 areas that provide air travel tips. The section are: “The Why’s Behind Security;” “Advanced Imaging Technology;” “Pat Downs;” “Secure Flight;” “MyTSA App;” “The 311 Policy for Liquids, Gels and Aerosols;” “Traveling with Kids or Parents, Use the Family Lane;” “Traveling With Food;” “Traveling with Gifts or Snow Globes;” a “TSA Travel Checklist;” and “Helpful Travel Information.”

For attempting to deal with holiday air travelers concerns and frustrations over air passenger security procedures, the TSA’s Helpful Hints for Holiday Travelers is Government Video’s Website of the Week.
