The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) seeks to promote and support philanthropy among U.S. government employees through a program that provides federal workers the opportunity to contribute to a charity off of a CFC list.
There are thousands of charities eligible to receive donations from federal civilian, postal and military donors who pledge their support during the CFC, which is Sept. 1 to Dec. 15. Contributions go to such charities as Feed the Children, EarthShare, the USO and the Alzheimer’s Association.
In addition, this is the CFC’s 50th Anniversary, and its website features videos of celebrity endorsements of the CFC made through the years and includes actors Dean Jones, Wayne Rogers and Chuck Norris to name a few.
For urging federal employees to support non-profit organizations that provide health and human services throughout the world, the Combined Federal Campaign is Government Video’s Website of the Week.
