NASA’s “Eyes on the Solar System” is a 3-D environment full of real NASA mission data that allows users to explore the cosmos from their computer. It enables users to do such out-of-this-world functions as hop on an asteroid; fly with NASA’s Voyager 2 spacecraft; or watch the entire solar system move in real time.

To get users started, a video featuring Jet Propulsion Laboratory astronomer Amy Mainzer informs users how to get started and what needs to be installed and where to download the program. Ms. Mainzer instructs users on what they need to know as she glides through space thereby setting the fun, relaxed tone of website.

For providing users with a fun, interactive way to learn about our solar system, Eyes on the Solar System is Government Video’s Website of the Week.
