Government Video Announces Recipients of 2016 InfoComm16 Best of Show Awards

LAS VEGAS–Government Video has announced the Best of Show Award winners at this year’s InfoComm.

NewBay Media’s Best of Show Awards are judged by a panel of engineers and industry experts on the criteria of innovation, feature set, cost efficiency and performance in serving the industry. Government Video is the leading online resource for video and audio professionals working in the public sector. Companies pay a fee to nominate a product.

The winners are:

ATX NetworksVidiPlay End-to-End IPTV Solutions: The user control interface for ATX’s overall IPTV solution. With Vidiplay’s interactive guide, users can employ features like video-on-demand, network personal video recording and digital signage capabilities.

CrestronAspire 6.5" 2-Way Single-Point Stereo In-Ceiling Speaker: Designed for single-point stereo applications, the Aspire is a two-way in-wall or in-ceiling speaker with a wide frequency response from 55 Hz to 20 kHz.

Crestron6X2 4K HDMI Switcher (HD-MD6X2-4K-E): Using six HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs, the ultra-high definition signal switcher supports 1080p, 2K and 4K picture quality and HDCP, 3D, Deep Color, and high-bitrate 7.1 audio. Users can operate the switcher with its front control panels, a Web browser, or a Crestron control system. The switcher also employs High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) encryption.

CrestronPinPoint App: The mobile app for working with Crestron’s Fusion Cloud and their PinPoint Proximity Detection Beacons. Whether it’s controlling the lighting, audio and TV for a room or booking a meeting space in your office, the PinPoint App allows users to control their smart home/workplace needs with the added benefit of not having to select your current location from a menu.

Crestron.AV Framework: Crestron’s signature operating system for a user’s A/V needs.

CrestronHD Scaling Presentation Switcher & Extender (HD-MD-400-C-E): The transmitter, installed at a table or podium, allows a laptop or mobile device to be connected to one of three inputs and then routes the signal to a receiver located at a display or projector. The transmitter inputs include two HDMI, one VGA, and one analog audio. The receiver uses one HDMI input along with one HDMI output and an analog audio output. A CATx cable links the transmitter and receiver. A universal 100-240V external power pack is included.

Da-LiteFlex Plex: A light-weight, rear-projection screen that is shipped in a roll. It’s designed for applications that cannot be shipped in a large crate.

Kramer ElectronicsKramer Control: An all cloud-based smart-office control platform. The only physical units on site are Kramer’s Smart Units. The platform allows users to control every office item on the network and gather analytics.

Planar Systems, A Leyard CompanyLeyard TWA Series LED Video Wall: The LED video wall line is available in 1.2 and 1.8 millimeter pitches. The 54-inch video wall is designed to run 24/7 and has a 16.9 aspect ratio. Depending on the set-up, the video wall can show full HD, 4K, or even 8K.

ShureMicroflex Advance: Coming in either a ceiling panel or table-top console, the Microflex Advance discreetly picks up conversations. Users can configure the microphones pickup pattern through a browser-based tool. Polar patterns include cardioid, supercardioid, hypercardioid, omnidirectional, and bi-directional. The mics signals transmit over a Dante network or a single Ethernet cable.
