Harmony Elementary School, located in Monroe, Ga., has deployed 60 FSR Inc.'s Flex-LT200 control systems and 60 IT-AS411-S8 audio switchers/amplifiers throughout its classrooms, media center, conference room and cafeteria.
The Woodland Park, N.J.-based connectivity solutions manufacturer says the Flex-LT200 features an LCD screen enables users to control a DVD player, projector, laptop integration, audio sources and other devices, while the IT-AS411-S8 is used to administer the audio for the individual speaker systems.
The public school employs a multimedia approach to education, and FSR says the application of its system is intended to cut down on time spent finding and identifying the correct remote, etc. Additionally, users can experience added mobility by controlling the Flex-LT200 from an app on a tablet device.
Systems integrator and distributor TechOptics installed the FSR units—which include a built-in scheduler—that automatically shuts off displays not in use and can deliver an alert if there is an issue in the room, such as an elevated lamp life that needs attention, FSR says. The Flex controller can also be used to save power by deploying an optional motion sensor that will shut down system power if a room is vacant for a set period, the company says.
The series has five models: The Flex-LT100, LT150, LT200, LT300 and the T6-Flex, which has a control system built into a table box.
FSR’s IT-AS411 Series are 4 x 1 audio switchers with a microphone/line-level input for a voice lift system or direct microphone input, FSR says. The series features four switched program audio inputs and an independently controlled microphone or line-level input mixed with the chosen program audio, and the models also enable both balanced and unbalanced audio input/output capability, according to the company. FSR says the models also have dual inline package switches that can be used to set the voice input level to microphone or line, adjust microphone sensitivity, set phantom power and select mono or stereo operation. The IT-AS411-S8 also has a built-in 25-watt amplifier, the company says.
