Enhance Unveils ‘UltraShare’ Storage Systems

Enhance Technology, Inc., a data storage designer and manufacturer, introduces its UltraShare NS Series Unified network-attached storage (NAS) systems, and which can be used to distribute or manage digital video.

UltraShare provides affordable enterprise-class features to server message block (SMB) and midmarket customers who need the flexibility, performance and scalability of a simple, yet robust, data delivery architecture, Enhance says.

The UltraShare NS series offers simple management that can be ideal for use in distributed enterprise environments, branch or remote offices, file sharing, data streaming, video surveillance, disk-based backup and cloud storage applications, the company says.

The UltraShare NAS offers dual mirrored Linux-based embedded operating system to guarantee system reliability, Enhance says. In addition, it offers such features as device-to-device data replication; one-to-one replication; volume encryption; snapshots; high-availability clustering and multiple backup/restore functions such as USB/Tape backup; remote share backup; file-level data duplication, and it has a built-in UltraShareBackup client agent that can be used in the cloud, the company says.
