The Mackey Barron Distinguished Achievement Award is regarded as the highest honor from InfoComm International for a lifetime of contribution, leadership and commitment to excellence in AV. InforComm cited Bowie’s 30-year career in AV and his years as a systems engineer and CEO at Electrosonic, in which he helped open Electrosonic’s Burbank, Calif., office; launched an apprenticeship program at the company; and supported InfoComm training programs and the Certified Technology Specialist program.

Bowie is set to retire from his position at the end of June, but will remain as a senior advisor to the Board of Electrosonic Group.

InfoComm will present the Mackey Barron Award to Bowie on June 14 during a special ceremony.
