Digital Video Expo, Sept. 22-24 in Pasadena, will include Apple Certification Courses on Final Cut Pro 7, conducted by Weynand Training International, a Gold Level Apple Authorized Training Center located in Los Angeles.

The expo will gather thousands of professionals in the content creation industry for three full days of intensive education, training, exhibitions and networking events at the Pasadena Convention Center.

Since the recent release of Final Cut Pro Studio, Apple’s new version of Final Cut Pro 7 has been creating significant buzz within the professional digital video community. With a host of powerful new features, it is critical for digital video professionals to obtain the instruction necessary to master the new requisite skills and techniques. With that in mind, Digital Video Expo has enlisted expert authors and master trainers to lead its Apple certification training program.

"Continuing education in the latest applications is of paramount importance for digital content creation professionals to remain competitive in this rapidly-changing marketplace,” said David Williams, expo conference chair and editor of DV magazine. "Our growing family of attendees has come to expect the highest-caliber of instruction at our Digital Video Expo events, and we are raising the bar even higher with this year’s Apple Certification Training on Final Cut Pro Studio.”

Trainers include Diana Weynand, an award winning producer/editor who is a co-owner of Weynand Training International and the author of several Apple pro training books and others, including "How Video Works."

Other trainers include Michael Wohl, one of the original design team members for the development of Final Cut Pro. A renowned producer and editor and author of “Advanced Editing in Final Cut Pro 7 and Color,” he continues to work with Apple, Inc writing their reference manuals.

Also training will be Jeff Sobel; audio/video producer and author of “Sound Editing in Final Cut Pro,” and Mark Spencer, producer/editor/studio owner and author of Apple Pro Training Series books on Motion.

"I can’t wait to teach my new Final Cut Pro 7 certified course with all the Digital Video Expo class participants," said Weynand. "As my FCP 7 book is hot off the press and being released this month, Digital Video Expo is the perfect opportunity for attendees to participate in this exciting, Apple certified training. Loaded with lots of new tips and tricks, the course utilizes four great sets of footage, including TNT’s 'Leverage,' 'Playing For Change,' 'An Accidental Quest for Enlightenment,' and 'SeaWorld,' and teaches the new FCP 7 features. We start the course with basic editing, and move through a comprehensive use of Final Cut Pro 7.”

The Digital Video Expo Apple Certification Training program for Final Cut Studio includes the following courses:

•Final Cut Pro 7: Level 101
•Final Cut Pro 7: Level 300
•Fixing and Mixing Your Sound with Apple’s Soundtrack Pro
•Designing and Animating Motion Graphics in Final Cut Studio
•Apple’s Color 1.5
