Purchases three Z-HD6000 cameras for studio

WOODBURY, N.Y.—Rounding out its five-year HD upgrade plan, Cox Communications’ Connecticut Public Access Channel 15 (PATV 15) has announced the purchase of three Z-HD6000 studio and field production cameras from Hitachi. The station was already equipped with 10 of Hitachi’s Z-HD5000 cameras.

PATV 15’s 10 Z-HD5000 cameras were spread out among its three facilities in Manchester, Enfield and Cheshire, Conn. Now, with the upgrade to the Z-HD6000 cameras in the studio, PATV 15 is moving its Z-HD5000s at its Manchester location to a new HD-capable mobile truck.

Systems integrator HB Communications delivered the Z-HD6000s in September 2017. PATV 15 technicians have praised the signal-to-noise ratio of the Z-HD6000s, while the Z-HD5000s have already been used for mobile production.
