The Government Services Administration, the agency that oversees product and service acquisitions for the U.S. government, has awarded Conference Technologies Inc., a provider of audiovisual systems, with a “Multiple Award Schedules” contract.
Under the MAS contract, Conference Technologies is now able to provide federal agencies with audiovisual system design and integration services, according to Steve Martin, the company’s federal government and GSA account specialist.
That the GSA awarded Conference Technologies a MAS contract shows the company has been thoroughly “vetted” by the federal government, Martin said. “Based on the work we’ve done at Fort Leavenworth, Scott Air Force Base and other federal facilities, the GSA has awarded us the ability to provide federal government customers complete turnkey design, engineering and AutoCAD services plus production, rental and staging labor,” he added.
The MAS contract is all about the labor services Conference Technologies offers, Martin said. “Whether it’s the design of a secure or non-secure video teleconference room, a training room, boardroom, briefing room, network operation center, digital signage system, mass notification or public address system, sound reinforcement system, video wall, or a temporary setup for a meeting or event,” he said.
“This contract also allows federal agencies to contract us to provide consulting services, provide complete plans and specifications, provide project management, installation services, programming services and train on these types of audio visual and control systems,” Martin said.
Under Special Item Number 58 8, Conference Technologies can provide audiovisual system design and installation services, including user training and system maintenance and service, according to Martin. Under SIN 58 9, the company can provide audiovisual equipment rental plus audio and video production services, he said.
In addition, Martin and Dave Lahey, the firm’s director of the corporate bid team and federal government contracting group, are working on adding thousands of audiovisual components, plus pre-packaged integrated audiovisual system solutions to the GSA Schedule 58 1 offering.
