Christie Digital Systems USA Inc., a producer of advanced projectors and display systems, introduced the Christie Matrix WU7K-J 3-chip DLP projector, which is designed for high-brightness training simulators, the company said.
The Christie Matrix WU7K-J is a Xenon-based projector that offers 6,300 lumens, thereby providing exceptional image quality, the company said. The projector is packed with standard Christie features includin
g full scalability, built-in geometric warping and edge blending and high performance, image processing with 120Hz capability, according to the firm.
In addition, the Christie Matrix J Series models are outfitted with Christie AccuFrame, which is specifically designed to address the needs of the simulation market, the company said. AccuFrame enables the user to reduce perceptible image smearing, and it supports various frame rates and environments, ensuring the accurate display of high-speed simulation content for the most true-to-life displays. The unit also has built-in image warping and advanced edge blending, according to the firm.
The Christie WU7K-J “represents a continued evolution of DLP technology combined with high-brightness Xenon lamp illumination, superior image quality and stability, integrated with our unique Christie Matrix features to meet the most demanding requirements of our simulation customers,” said Dave Kanahele, the company’s director of simulation.
Further, the Matrix WU7K-J provides users with “peace of mind,” which is its “most important aspect,” said Zoran Veselic, Christie Visual Environments’ vice president. “It’s compact, highly reliable and powerful, and includes standard in-demand features to help the virtual training world mirror the challenges of the real world.”
