Company also announces updates to Velvet Apex series and launches online LED calculator

AMSTERDAM—Christie is building walls, video walls to be exact. The company has announced the launch of its new Velvet CorePlus LED video wall, which has pixel pitches that range from 1.2-4.0 millimeters, has a single architecture that scale to include 4K resolutions, is customizable with remote and on-board options and can be installed and serviced from either the front or the back.

The Velvet CorePlus has an install depth of less than 100 millimeters, which makes it ADA-compliant. It includes a direct mount system and features a new E600 controller to enable end users to scale to 4K 60 Hz. The Velvet CorePlus will begin shipping in the spring of 2018.

Christie has also announced that its Velvet Apex series makes 4K video walls with the E600 controller with 4K60 capability. Additional highlights include low brightness enhancements, advanced image processing, HDR10 signal compatibility and image quality. The Apex series also features front-access service, direct mount system, remote and redundant power supply and an ADA-compliant design. The range of pixel pitches is from 1.2-2.5 millimeters.

In addition, a new online LED calculator is available to help design a video wall that meets a consumer’s requirements.
