CH Products, a Vista, Calif. manufacturer of joysticks for pan, tile and zoom (PTZ) cameras, as well as trackballs and simulation control devices, introduces the IPD Ultima, the top of the line joystick from its “IP Desktop Family” of PTZ joysticks.
The IPD Ultima features a premium soft touch business blue coating, 10 vibrant high efficiency LED pushbuttons, as well as a durable two button three axes Hall effect joystick, CH Products says in a written statement. Additional IPD Ultima features include a “universal serial bus” (USB) 1.1 “human interface device” (HID) compliant interface, and a three axes joystick for intuitive control of PTZ camera functions.
The two tactile pushbuttons integrated into the rotational handle can be assigned functions within supported IP video monitoring applications. It also offers 10 vibrant high efficiency LED pushbuttons, making the joystick well suited for use in poorly lit security facilities. The LED pushbutton functions are defined in the user’s controlled application, but ideal functions include PTZ presets, camera touring functions and workspace navigation.
The IPD Ultima’s premium soft touch “business blue” housing promotes comfortable, prolonged use by security professionals. Featuring USB 1.1 interface, the IPD Ultima integrates with software applications supporting USB joystick inputs via Microsoft DirectX. No device driver or manufacture specific “software development kit” (SDK) is required, the IPD Ultima is recognized as a standard HID 3 axes/12 button “game controller” joystick.
