At the NAB Show, Canon is introducing the latest from its arsenal of supercomputer engineering tools, newly developed glass elements, and highly advanced optical coatings—the HJ14ex4.3B wide-angle portable HDTV lens.
Canon HJ14ex4 3B
The HJ14ex4.3B combines an extended 14x zoom range and 4.3mm wide angle while also improving on the optical performance of its predecessor. The HJ14ex4.3B’s newly developed Digital Drive unit provides improved operability of lens functions.
The HJ14ex4.3B is the successor to Canon’s HJ11ex4.7B wide-angle portable HDTV lens, introduced in 2001.
Canon will also showcase its BU-50H remote-control indoor robotic pan-tilt HD 16:9 camera system, designed for legislative chambers, houses of worship, studio POV camera positions, indoor security areas, and many other environments.
Canon says the BU-50H is extremely quiet and suited for operation in very quiet environments such as studios, conferences, lectures and classical music concerts.
Canon BU-50H Pan/Tilt
The system incorporates Canon Auto Focus and Image Stabilizer technology, genlock input for video synchronization in broadcast television systems, HD-SDI and SD-SDI outputs with embedded audio, or SD composite NTSC video. The BU-50H pan-tilt HD camera is capable of smooth 300-degree pans and 40-degree tilts. Users can program the BU-50H for repeatable and simultaneous panning, tilting, and/or zooming to up to 32 preset coordinates.
The NAB Show is April 20-23 in Las Vegas.
