Buffalo Technology, an Austin, Texas-based producer of wired and wireless network and direct attached Internet protocol video-surveillance storage solutions, launches the TeraStation 5000 series of network storage solutions.

The TeraStation 5000 series consists of the two-drive TeraStation 5200 and the four-drive TeraStation 5400, which are equipped with the Intel Atom D2550 dual-core processor. In addition, the TeraStation 5000 series offers an array of business class features including iSCSI, replication and failover support and SoleraTec Phoenix RSM, a video surveillance asset management solution.

“By reducing the complexity and cost of traditional IP video surveillance storage and asset management, the TeraStation 5000 series eliminates many of the barriers businesses face when implementing and running IP-based surveillance,” said Matt Dargis, Buffalo Technology’s senior director of sales. “This launch proves once again our dedication to delivering high performance solutions that serve the needs of our customers and our commitment to the SMB (small and medium-sized business) market,” he said.
