PITTSBURGH—Black Box is pushing users’ ability to simultaneously access content with the launch of its Coalesce Meeting Place Edition. This wireless presentation and collaboration system uses cloud-based technology to share ideas, content and presentations wirelessly from any network.
Supporting both wired and wireless connectivity simultaneously, Coalesce Meeting Place Edition can connect a user’s laptop, tablet or smartphone via Windows client, Chrome web browser, Apple Airplay or Android/iOS apps. Users can control their devices directly from a touch-screen display to sketch ideas, annotate and brainstorm in real time. There is also an embedded media player to upload and play video and audio. Security features include 2048-bit asymmetric encryption and a 256-bit symmetric session key, as well as optional PINs for system access.
The new system is able to work with Black Box’s existing suite of conference room products, including presentation switchers, video wall processors, room scheduling and digital signage, according to Tom Strade, Black Box vice president of product innovation and marketing.
