BenQ America Corp., a provider of digital technologies, is now shipping its interactive IL420 touch-screen public-information display to customers nationwide.
The IL420 has been designed for public venues that demand longer service life, increased interactivity, higher dependability and better environmental considerations, BenQ said.
The unit has a 42-inch screen that provides a six-point multitouch technology — the highest number of touch points in the industry — that augments the user experience with interactive content facilitating information finding, according to BenQ. It also features ambient-light sensors to automatically adjust screen brightness according to the lighting conditions, and local-area-network control for remote management and maintenance, the company said.
“In the realm of commercial signage, such a high number of touch points on an interactive panel translates into smoother screen navigation, providing a better overall experience for users,” said Kristin Kennedy, BenQ’s associate vice president, U.S. sales.
“When coupled with full-HD resolution, a 4000:1 contrast ratio and latency-free response times, the IL420 distinguishes itself as a highly advanced, commercial-grade interactive flat-panel display,” she said.
